Bree has always had a deep love for animals, but birds have held a special place in her heart from a young age. Her first pet, a Pekin duck named Willow, sparked her fascination with avian care—she would take Willow on walks and learnt firsthand how intelligent and affectionate birds can be.

 

Over the years, she has cared for a variety of birds, including fostering an Eclectus Parrot named Spencer and sharing eight wonderful years with her Cockatiel, Toby.

 

Now a trainee veterinary nurse at Melbourne Bird Vet, Bree is excited to develop her skills and work more closely with birds, following her passion for avian health and welfare. She hopes to specialise in avian nursing and continue learning all she can about caring for birds of all shapes and sizes.

At home, Bree shares her life with her two cats, Josie and Steve, and her two dogs, Archie and Monty. When she’s not at the clinic, she enjoys painting, playing tennis, wakeboarding, and spending time with her animals.
